We aim to support realtime collaboration and communication.
Our goal is to support realtime collaboration and communication among distributed users. We develop HTML5 canvas synchronization mechanisms to reduce delays of synchronization for collaborative Web applications. The delays consist of network delays and drawing delays. The network delays are well-argued topic by various researches. We focus on the drawing delays, which are a primary bottleneck of synchronization of objects on canvas. Developers can create fast Web applications using the mechanism. The mechanism enhances the potential of the Web applications running within low performance devices such as tablets and smartphones.
We also address communication problems among caregivers and elder people. To support such communication, we focus on the asymmetry between a caregiver and a remote elder. The asymmetry is come from the network environment, adaptability for ICT devices or so forth on each caregiver and elder. We develop a remote elder care support system considering the asymmetry. The system never need any operations by the elder but the caregiver control all features to avoid irritation of the elder.
